The New England Vintage Electronics Club welcomes new members!
Membership in the New England Vintage Electronics Club is open to everyone interested in antique, vintage and collectible radios, TVs and related electronic or electrical items – wherever your interest lies, from 1920s TRF and crystal sets, 1930s cathedrals and consoles, 1940s AM-only and AM/FM bookshelf radios, 1950s Hi-Fi stereo component systems, tube amps, 1960s transistor radios, 1970s and 1980s vintage audio, vintage computers, etc. If it was made in the 20th century, NEVEC is there to assist.
If you grew up in the “tube” era or 1970s-80s Hi-Fi component era, membership is like a trip down memory lane. See vintage electronic devices from your past. Teach your kids or grandkids about them. If you became interested in electronics in the “smartphone” era, this is your chance to learn about the vintage tech that led to the game consoles, laptops and smart phones of today. Attend the club’s events and meet like-minded people.
Join or Renew Membership
Three club standard membership options are available:
- $6 for a single year membership
- $50 for a 10-year membership
- $100 for a lifetime membership
With your paid membership, you will receive the club quarterly newsletter, Radio and Vintage Electronics News (RAVEN), online via Email containing color photos and articles about vintage radios and electronics, including history, restoration techniques, technical information, and more written by club members. To read a sample edition of the club’s comprehensive, quarterly newsletter, click on the button further down the page. We hope you find the newsletters alone worth the modest annual club membership dues.
Membership also allows you to be a seller and rent tables at our swap meets, made online from the Purchase menu on the club website. Also, if you offer a service, including selling parts used for vintage electronics restoration or perform radio or vintage electronics repair or restoration, etc., membership includes free advertisement on the club website on request.
On purchase of a NEVEC membership, you may opt to receive a paper edition of the club quarterly newsletter, RAVEN, mailed to your home for an additional cost of $24 for the calendar year. Note that, like the standard membership, purchase is for the calendar year only and not prorated. Click on the button below to read a sample RAVEN edition to help your decision on opting for a paper edition.
